Clinical Dieticians
What is a Clinical Dietician?
Bassett Healthcare Network’s clinical dietitians are based in the Cancer Treatment Center (CTC), and specifically focus on assisting cancer patients, including those undergoing chemotherapy and / or radiation therapy, in managing their nutrition during all aspects of the cancer treatment process.
Maintaining Weight & Nutrition
The goal of our registered dietitians is to work with each patient to identify any side effects of treatment impacting eating. The dieticians provide strategies for coping with these symptoms, help patients learn how to maintain weight during treatment, and assist patients in eating healthy as much as possible.
We meet with patients at the beginning of treatment to ensure that their dietary needs are fully integrated into their current and future treatment plans.
