Strabismus 

A visual problem that causes the eyes to align incorrectly, and point in different directions. There are two types of strabismus:

• Infantile esotropia: The eye turns inward. This type of stabismus is common in infants. Young children with esotropia cannot use their eyes together.
• Accommodative esotropia: The eyes turn inward when a child focuses the eyes to see clearly. Most common in children 2 years or older, this type of stabismus may cause crossing when focusing at a distance, up close, or both.

Amblyopia

Sometimes referred to as a "lazy-eye", amblyopia occurs when vision in one or both eyes does not develop properly during childhood.
