Laboratory Services

The Bassett Healthcare Network Laboratory Department is a full-service laboratory accredited by the New York State Department of Health Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Unit, and the Joint Commission.

Our laboratory services include:

All technicians and technologists are licensed by the New York State Department of Education. The laboratory department performs nearly 1.5 million tests per year, using the most advanced technology available.

Pathology Lab

Pathologists assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by analyzing tissue samples, cells, and fluids to give a disease diagnosis. Bassett Healthcare Network’s pathologists work closely with surgeons, OB-GYNs, and primary care physicians and practitioners to provide an accurate diagnosis.

Outpatient Lab Services

We perform a variety of tests, including:

• Routine blood draw
• Urine analysis
• Specimen drop-off

All lab tests must be ordered by an approved healthcare provider. Some tests may require fasting. Talk to your doctor for specific instructions. Lab hours and services vary by location. Please call ahead if you have any questions.
