Speech Language Pathology
Speech Language Pathology
Speech Language Pathologists (SLP’s) work with patients who may be having difficulty with the mechanics of chewing and swallowing food and beverage. They also work with patients to help improve the mechanical production and comprehension of speech, including voice quality and language articulation. Diagnoses that often require SLP services include stroke, head trauma, congenital abnormalities, dementia, recurrent pneumonia, developmental delays, and surgery that affects the head, face, throat, or neck.
Your practitioner will provide a prescription for SLP services if needed. SLP services at Bassett Healthcare Network are available by appointment.
All of the disciplines of care provided by Bassett Rehabilitation Services participate with most major insurances.
