President of O'Connor Hospital Named

The Bassett Healthcare Network Board of Directors and O'Connor Hospital Board of Trustees announce the appointment of Scott Bonderoff, MBA, CMPE, as President of O'Connor Hospital in Delhi, NY, to succeed Dr. Carlton Rule who is leaving O'Connor and Bassett Healthcare Network the end of this month. Bonderoff has been with Bassett Healthcare since 2001 and Vice President of Patient Services and Ancillary Support at Bassett Medical Center since 2010. He was chosen from among a dozen internal and external candidates the selection committee considered during its search over the last several weeks.

During his tenure at Bassett, Bonderoff has successfully led diverse operational areas including Emergency and Trauma Services, Imaging and Radiology and a multitude of support departments as both a director and an executive. He has earned the respect of colleagues and practitioners as a leader focused on transparency, consensus building and building relationships across all roles within the organization. The search committee believes Scott's leadership skills, his deep understanding of Bassett Healthcare Network, and broad operational experience have prepared him well to take over leadership of O'Connor Hospital, a role he'll assume effective Monday, February 20.

Bonderoff earned his MBA in healthcare from Binghamton University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Medical Group Management Association as well as an executive governance board member of Leatherstocking Collaborative Health Partners.
