Kathleen Borak, LPN at Fox Nursing Home, was honored with A.O. Fox Hospital's second quarter DAISY Award at a ceremony on July 30.
Borak, who works in Unit One of Fox's Nursing Home, is adored by residents and colleagues for her compassion, work ethic, and being a role model for other nurses. "She deserves this great honor because she genuinely cares for and respects every resident, patient, and care team member," one employee says. "She goes above and beyond every day no matter how busy things get. She puts the safety and comfort of residents and patients above everything."
"Residents, patients, and staff can count on Kathleen, plain and simple," says another colleague. "No matter how hectic her day is, she makes sure things get done the right way. She encourages ambulation so that residents and patients have productive days. She is also a mentor and friend. My brother passed away from cancer recently and she has been there for me every day. Kathleen is truly a beautiful person and an excellent nurse."
