Joseph Luz, MD, Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award by Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce

Joseph Luz, MD, a Bassett Healthcare Network senior attending physician in Family Medicine, was recently honored with the Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Dr. Luz has been practicing family medicine at the Bassett primary care office in Schoharie for over 25 years. He has also served as Schoharie County coroner, a member and president of the Schoharie County Board of Health, and medical director for the Schoharie County Office of Emergency Services, ten volunteer rescue squads, and the Schoharie County ARC.
Dr. Luz also serves as a primary care clerkship preceptor for Columbia University and Columbia-Bassett medical students. He is an attending physician and former medical staff president at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Dr. Luz, a retired colonel, served for 25 years in the U.S. Army Reserves with three deployments to the Middle East.
