Bassett Healthcare Network nursing leaders were pleased to present six nurses with DAISY Awards this month at locations across the network.
Bassett's DAISY Award program recognizes six nurses for their exceptional care each quarter in addition to presenting two annual awards each fall. Each honoree receives a certificate, a hand-crafted statue, a pin to wear on their ID badges, flowers, and various benefits from the DAISY Foundation.
Here are the 2023 Second Quarter DAISY Award winners, along with a quote from their nomination. Be sure to congratulate these nurses when you see them — and thank them for their commitment to their patients.
Jeremy Allen, RN
Cobleskill Regional Hospital Emergency Department
"Jeremy was extremely empathetic and kind towards my daughter-in-law and grandson. He went above and beyond to reassure and comfort her. Thank you for your compassionate care.”
Aneta Babieradzki, RN

"Aneta always answers questions with compassion and cares about how I am feeling. She has made me feel like I am not just another patient. She always has a smile and greats me like a family member."
Cara Bono, RN
Bassett Medical Center’s Birthing Center (Traveler)
"ALL of the nurses were so wonderful in the care, compassion, and support of my daughter and all of us with her. Anything we needed – they were on it. Cara is one of the best nurses I have ever come across and she should definitely be recognized!”

"Naturally, this is a difficult time for us, and the reassurance given to us by Rose is making this entire process easier. She really is an outstanding nurse and person!”

"The way Kayla cares for the patients is incredible. She exceeds the Bassett values by far! Not only is she kind and always helping our patients above and beyond she is a great team leader.”
Victor Zhen, RN

"Victor is kind, caring, and compassionate and leads by example. He is a role model for all staff and constantly exemplifies integrity and continually finds ways to foster growth of professional nursing practice for himself and also for all of those he leads.”
