EMERGENCY-ambulance-blur.jpgIn a rural community, quick access to high-level emergency services is critical. Our Emergency Department is open around the clock, seven days a week, and is staffed at all times by the highly qualified, experienced physicians of Bassett Healthcare Network. Every nurse in the department is credentialed in basic life support, trauma care, pediatric advanced life support, and advanced cardiac life support.

Patients of all ages, with all types of illnesses or injuries, are treated, regardless of ability to pay. About one in three of our patients requires high-level emergency care, so we’re accustomed to dealing with medically complex emergencies.

For most cases, we provide total diagnosis, care, and treatment on site. For those who need the highly specialized services of a major medical center, Cobleskill Regional Hospital, O'Connor Hospital, A.O. Fox Hospital, Little Falls Hospital & Tri-Town Regional Hospital serves as a gateway to the appropriate level of needed services. In many instances, our affiliation with Bassett Healthcare Network facilitates access to advanced services and follow-up at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown and with Bassett physician specialists.
